1) March 11: Party for Computer versus Lee Sedol match (Tentative)
If the AGA broadcasts on the AGA YouTube channel the five-game match between the best go player in the world and the computer that for the first time beat a go professional, I will throw a party to watch game 3 on Friday, March 11 at 8 p.m. The AGA will provide $100 for pizza for the party. If you are interested in attending, send to me an email and I will keep you posted.

2) March 5&6: Go Demo at Cherry Blossom Festival
I will be manning a booth at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival at Balboa Park this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. If you volunteer to teach go for a couple of hours or play a demonstration game, the Garden will let you in for free (enter by back gate) and give you lunch. Send me an email if you would like to participate.

2016 Dadao Southern California Go Championship
Date: 3/5 - 3/6 2016
Place: Ramada Plaza Hotel 515 W Katella Ave, Anaheim CA 92802
(N/E corner of Katella and Harbor blvd, one block from Disneyland)
Open Section: For players with 5dan and up rating in AGA, KGS,
Tygem or any countries or Go servers. All games will be played even.
No Handicap. Komi is 7.5 points.
Handicap Dan Section: For players from 1 dan to 5 dan rating in AGA,
KGS, Tygem or any countries or Go servers. Handicap is set according
to players’ ratings.
(Note: 5 dan players can choose to play either in open or handicap
section)
Handicap Kyu Section (3 groups): For all kyu players from beginner to
strong 1 kyu.
Rules: AGA Rules
Rounds & Pairing: 5 rounds, Swiss McMahon
Game Time:
Open section: one hour basic time. 5 times of 30-second byo
Handicap section: 45 minutes basic time, 5 times of 30-second byo
Awards:
$3000 total cash award, $700 award to open section winner.
Trophy award:
Open section: Top 4 (or 5) players with best win/loss records
Handi Dan section: Top 4 (or 5) players with best win/loss records
Handi kyu section: Top three players of each subgroup (3 groups)
with best win/loss records
Tie breaker:
First Tie Breaker – Sum of the games won by the players he/she has
played with.
Second Tie Breaker – face to face record
Three-way tie or any conditions that cannot be resolved by the first
and second tie breaker – Coin toss
Tournament Entry Fee:
Adult: Current Valid AGA member $20, Non member $30
Children under 18: AGA member $15; Non member $20
Parking: Free (you will receive parking information once you have
registered)

More details will be forthcoming... start looking for a partner. Open to AGA members. A team's rating will be the average of the two players.
